E. Bradshaw Bunney, MD, FACEP, turned over the gavel to incoming President William P. Sullivan, DO, JD, FACEP at the Annual Business Meeting that took place during the Spring Symposium on March 6, 2008 at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Dr. Sullivan will serve as President for the 2008-2009 term. Dr. Bunney will serve as Past President.

The results of the Board elections were also announced at the meeting. Helene Connolly, MD, FACEP, Marc A. Dorfman, MD, FACEP, and Heather Marie Prendergast, MD, FACEP joined the Board of Directors. Christopher M. Lloyd, DO, joined the Board as its Resident Member. Incumbents re-elected to the Board of Directors were Mark E. Cichon, DO, FACEP, FACOEP, and Michael S. Wahl, MD, FACEP.

The officer elections were also decided. Dr. Cichon was elected President-Elect. Rebecca Bollinger Parker, MD, FACEP was elected Secretary-Treasurer. Dr. Wahl was elected Member-at-Large.

Councilors chosen for the term include: Walter Bradley, MD, MBA, FACEP; Dr. Bunney; Dr. Cichon; Cai Glushak, MD, FACEP; John Graneto, DO, MEd, FACOEP; George Hevesy, MD, FACEP; Mark Mackey, MD, FACEP; Dr. Parker; Edward P. Sloan, MD, MPH, FACEP; Dr. Sullivan; and Carolynn Zonia, DO, FACEP, FACOEP. Don Cohen, MD, FACEP and Deborah Weber, MD, FACEP will serve as the alternates.

At the Annual Meeting, three outgoing Board members were also recognized for their service to ICEP. Dr. Bunney presented Dr. Cohen, Patricia Lee, MD, FACEP, and Julio Silva, MD, FACEP with plaques and thanked them for their commitment to the organization. Dr. Bunney was also presented with a plaque that recognized him for his years of service as ICEP President.
