Illinois EMS Summit Is November 19 in Springfield
The Illinois EMS Summit will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Northfield Inn Suite & Conference Center in Springfield. The program will run from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with registration starting at 8:30 AM.
The 2nd Annual Illinois EMS Summit will again bring together EMS providers and other stakeholders for the purpose of examining the condition of EMS in Illinois. Participants will have the opportunity to review the
progress made by the EMS Taskforce and the Illinois EMS Alliance and will explore issues critical to the EMS community.Speakers will address a variety of topics including mobile integrated health care, the impact of the Affordable Care Act on EMS, and medical transportation.
The EMS Summit was created based on recommendations of the Governor’s Rural Affairs Council’s (GRAC) Annual Report in which several working groups were formed to address strategies to improve delivery of services, expand opportunities, and enhance the quality of life for Illinois’ residents. The GRAC EMS Working Group developed this educational and transformational opportunity to advance solutions to EMS provision in Illinois.
