Program Description:

Stroke is a time-sensitive diagnosis that requires immediate recognition and treatment. The challenge for ED providers is recognizing the myriad of stroke presentations, ordering the appropriate neuroimaging and safely providing therapeutic interventions. In these modules, we will discuss how to quickly diagnose and treat a variety of stroke syndromes using evidence-based guidelines.  The program includes:

  • 6 narrated PowerPoints
  • 3.25 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ continuing medical education

Program Objective:

To recognize and apply evidence-based strategies to manage stroke patients in the emergency department

To receive CME, you must:

  1. Read and agree to all activity information prior to the start of the program.
  2. Participate fully in educational content
  3. Listen to or read the lecture in its entirety.
  4. Complete the activity evaluation.
  5. Attest to completing the activity according to the steps referenced above.
