About Dr. Lin:

Dr. Janet Lin is a nationally recognized emergency physician, educator, and healthcare leader whose career has been dedicated to advancing equity, innovation, and public health. A longtime leader within the Illinois College of Emergency Physicians, she served as ICEP President from 2018–2019 and has chaired the Education Committee since 2015, helping build nationally recognized educational programs while championing advocacy, medical student engagement, and social emergency medicine initiatives.

Dr. Lin currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer for UI Health and is Professor of Emergency Medicine and Public Health at the University of Illinois Chicago. Her work focuses on improving healthcare access and delivery for vulnerable populations through the lens of equity and social justice. In addition to her leadership in medicine, she has served as President of the Chicago Board of Health and continues to advance public health and humanitarian efforts locally and globally.
