Councillor & Alternate Councillor

Represent Illinois emergency physicians at the national level. Councillors voice member concerns, vote on ACEP policy, and elect national leadership at the annual ACEP Council meeting.

Who Can Volunteer

Eligibility & Expectations

Committee terms are one year, beginning after the Ginny Kennedy Palys Annual Spring Symposium. Members must reapply at the start of each term. Applications are accepted year-round.

Eligibility

Must be an ACEP/ICEP member in good standing
May serve on no more than two (2) committees per year
Exceptions require direction from ICEP leadership

Term Structure

One-year terms begin following the Annual Spring Symposium. Members wishing to continue must reapply each term. Most committees meet quarterly.

Faculty Opportunity

Certifying Exam Review Course Faculty

Interested in serving as faculty for ICEP’s Virtual Certifying Exam Review Courses? Courses are held via Zoom and can be completed from home. All applicants must have passed their Emergency Medicine Certifying Exam.

Morning sessions: 9:15 AM – 1:05 PM CT | Afternoon sessions: 2:40 PM – 6:30 PM CT
Faculty may sign up for any combination of half-days. Limited honoraria available. NDA required if selected.
