Get involved with ICEP for 2023! Serve as a Councilor!

A councilor/alternate councilor is a key participant in the leadership and development of ACEP policy. The councilor represents emergency physicians from their respective component body (chapter, section, AACEM, CORD, EMRA, or SAEM). Councilors have the responsibility to voice the concerns of their constituents on the floor of the council meeting and in reference committees. Councilors can also express the will of their constituents by executing their votes for or against resolutions and electing the president-elect, Board members, and Council officers at the annual meeting.

Alternate councilors are also key members of ACEP leadership. An alternate councilor may assume the duties of a councilor when so directed by the constituent delegation, with proper credentials.

Councilors represent ICEP at the ACEP Council Meeting held in conjunction with the ACEP Annual Meeting and are elected by the ICEP Board.

Councilors are elected by the ICEP Board.
