Congratulations to ICEP member Derek J. Robinson, MD, MBA, FACEP, who has been named one of Crain’s Chicago Business 2021 Notable Black Leaders and Executives.
Derek J. Robinson is in charge of all aspects of care management, including clinical leadership and oversight. He is the founding chair of the Health Equity Steering Committee, which sets Health Care Service Corp’s health equity strategy. Robinson was the driving force behind the establishment of the BCBSIL Institute for Physician Diversity last year, which aimed to boost the number of physicians from minority and marginalized groups.
