Urge Governor Pritzker to Veto HB 3360

The Illinois General Assembly quickly passed HB 3360 last week without any hearing or public comments.  The bill would impose an additional 9% prejudgment interest to be paid in any civil judgment or verdict, backdated to the time the defendant was made aware of the injury.

This punitive legislation undermines Illinois’ medical liability system and is an affront to emergency physicians and other healthcare providers who have worked tirelessly through the Covid pandemic.

See today’s action alert for more details about the bill.   Call the Governor’s office or use the ISMS link to voice your objections.https://www.votervoice.net/mobile/ILSMS/Campaigns/79221/Respond
